Script/Plugins Wishlist

It always happens, "If I < put your favourite 3D application > had this option … ", "I wish I could have a script for … ", how many times have asked yourself the same question in the last month …

Now you can post your idea in this WishList section (adding a comment to this post) and tell me what would you like to have as script or plugin for Max or Maya and I´ll try to code it if I have enough time for it. You can comment any bug you found in any script I´ve done, or anything that you would include or remove from them…

Hi Diego, all right?
I have searched any plugin in the web for max that became a object in a silhoutte. For example, when we use a shortcut (Shift+S) the mesh selected turn in a 100% Black object, this is good for animators. You can create a shortcut that change color of object to black and mark Object Color in Display Color Tab, and vice-versa. I’ve tried to assign a Sohrtcut to this, but i haven’t found for this action in the Customize and macro recorder, but didn’t obtain a macro.

When you have a free time, if you can try, would be tankful.

I loved the MaterialEditorUtilities, but the program report:
MAXScript auto-load script error
C:3dsmax5scriptsstartupMaterialEditorUtilities.ms Exception
–Unknown property: “isOpen” in undefined
After that,it works correctly.
Is there something wrong?

(Diego 20 June 2005) Hi Marcelo , should be fixed already. I suppose the bug had something to do with you are running a version of 3dsmax older than the one that I used for programming this script so, please let me know if you find any other problem. Thanks!

Just wanted to try out your little wish list page… how ever I do have something, would be cool if you could code it :]
I need a MEL script that does the samething as the ‘placehighlight’ tool in max. Would that be hard? I hope not
